Nice video. Try doing that during day time haha...unless it's the crack of dawn traffic will be horrible.

Ahh a newer LA version of Rendezvous

For those that may never seen it one of my favorites, we used to play it before class for motivation

Enjoy it for what it is, don't be a curmudgeon :)

It motivates me to go back to Paris, where I have driven at that early in the morning time. Lovely place.

Can't say the same thing about LA

So true. There's something about the sky, the trees, the camera angle that just digs deep into my memory of warm summer mornings in Paris when the streets are mostly empty. It's an odd mix of senses.... the smell of fully stocked but as-of-yet unopened bakeries, the previous night's bar-trash waiting to be picked up, shuttered apartments, etc. etc. Obviously the big Colombo(?) 12 roaring along wasn't in my personal memories of the city, but the way the light works in early morning Paris is indeed something I hope I always remember.

My time in L.A. was in the early 90's -- Eagle Rock/Pasadena to be specific. The experience was just slightly different. The highways and surface streets were horrible then, and only made marginally navigable with a 500-page Thomas street guide.

Reminds me of getting out of the after parties in NYC in the 80s
Something about abig city when it wakes up in the wee hours of the morning

I figured as much, because there is no way down town is that empty unless you get LAPD to close the street you’re filming on. Only other time it is even more empty is Christmas. It is amazing how fast and far you can get around LA in the wee hours of the night.

At the hospital to meet my very pregnant wife! It was staged that night, but she did end up delivering within a week from when we shot that scene.
