While we were doing a photo shoot for Forza magazine, an E60 M5 pulls up next to us as we are about to hit a nice stretch of windy road. The journalist (Zach Mayne...great guy btw) who is doing a story on my car was driving (I wanted to do a Chinese fire drill and get in the driver's seat!) spotted the M5....but I figured that I had better play it cool!

As the light turns green...we took off......briskly......not crazy.......but setting up for a little bit of twistyness!! ............and no response from the M5. I know if I would have been driving the M5, I would have had a bit of a go at the red car!! or at least this great stretch of road!

Now that would have made an interesting addition to the story!

Its the name/history/engery that the ferrari has, that scares off other cars.

Too true, even if I had a 5,000 horsepower Mustang I would never race a Ferrari as a nod of respect for what is a far superior car.

However that BMW M5 is another respect worthy machine and a whole different animal. Either way it would've made an awesome story.

The piece of road we were coming up on is always worthy of a 'spanking'. I watched the M5 in the side mirror....he was nowhere near the correct line through the corners. It could have been ugly...without DSC and the rest of the alphabet soup.....and 500hp. With the 348 you actually have to 'drive' the car!
