Was it for a radar detector? They dont hook up to the sunvisor & I didn't see anything in the owners manual.

PS: I blacked out the camera flash in the mirror

You're suppose to hook your seat belts to it when you get in out of the car so the motor mouse doesn't kill you.

Not a standard item on the 89 348ts. Looks like a place to hang yuor glasses or something. Of course, the mad mouse could hang there.

they are made out of some kind of soft rubber. They seem too flexible to hang something from

Not in the Owners Manual? In mine, it's on page H18.

"For facilite (sic) the entry and exit of the vehicle (when the belt is in the forward position) place the belt in the hook (N) as shown in fig 9a."

This wouldn't be on an '89 348 because they don't have the mad mouse belts.

I pulled my book & it does not show the mouse. Now I see that my manual is for a 1989 model. I wonder if the original book was lost.

By the way, Mike, in my initial tests on the heater valve you sent to me, it has worked fine. No error codes, and full travel from hot to cold and back again, several times. But I need to hook it up and give it a nice long test drive, and the weather is icky here. Hopefully your A/C system is still performing properly. And your tach???

    Hey Miltonian,

I've been thinking that the heater valve I sent you may have been from the second swap out before we found the wiring harness was bad too. So in my estimation maybe the one I sent you was good? But we did not know the wiring was bad combined with the original bad valve.

I am glad to be done with that episode. Everything is working now.

PS: The mechanic pulled the tach and gave it a good whack & it sprung back to life.
