Howdy, all. Well, at my wife's, um, suggestion, I spent my weekend cleaning my garage. I now have an entire wall taken up with 355 Challenge spare wheels, multiple sets of Pirelli P-Zero racing slicks, a spare set of Porsche wheels with R-compounds on them, and winter wheels and snow tires for the Bimmers.

To make room for everything (alas, I have a small garage), I decided to get rid of a set of 348 wheels that have been sitting in there since before I got my 355 and 355 Challenge. They are the early-offset factory 348 wheels (1989-1991) that I had been using for track use on my 348. While they aren't the later-offset rear wheels, the advantage is that you can put a wider tire on these rear wheels without any rubbing issues.

I'm told that these wheels will also fit Mondials without any issues (I'll have to double check to confirm that), so this is a cheap way to really update the look of a Mondial.

Anyway, as you can see from the pictures, they are matte-black (ie., "Krylon black"), and cosmetically challenged, but otherwise perfect for TRACK USE.

First $800 (+shipping, if you can't pick them up outside of Boston) takes 'em! The tires on them right now are junk r-compound hoosiers, I can have them dismounted before shipping.

If you want them for the STREET, I can have them refinished to look like new, $1400 for the set.

For TRACK USE - I've always had a spare set of wheels and R-compound tires when I put a street car on the track. It ends up being cheaper in the long run (not to mention way faster) because it means that I'm not wearing the cr*p out of my street tires. Go faster and spend less money in the long run? Sign me up!

Anyway, if anyone is interested, ping me (BigHeadDennis at earthlink dot net) before they go onto eBay.

    Thanks,

    --Dennis
