The 348 wheels don't even look good on a 348, don't know why you'd want to put them on another car...
I have already seen an first serie ( Convave wheels ) with 348 wheels. Somes years ago a F-Chatter post pics of this second serie ( Convexe wheels ) also with 348 wheels. But I don't know how it was fitted ...
Hey Bertrand, they do fit, I like the look of the 348 wheels, I know a guy who fitted 4 (front ) 348 wheels on his 1989 ABS model 328 (Convex)
348 wheels look good on Mondials. To the OP: you will probably need 4 fronts. I put 355 wheels on my pre-abs 328. I needed spacers, and had to use 4 front wheels. The 355 rears are simply too wide to fit well, and I suspect the same for the 348.
Not a 328, but you will get the general idea. Not mine, found picture on the web once. DM Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 308 is such a gorgeous design. It’s amazing how changing the rims to a newer, bigger style can make the car look so modern. I’ve see the car with the 360 rims. Never with 348. Doesn’t look too bad. I think they look better on the 308 than the 348 lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think the 18" 355 wheels are pretty good looking. 360 wheels are more open, and tend to show the lack of brakes more. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hate to write this, but it takes the appearance towards kit car. The lines and period designs of 348 rims completely clash, as if someone saw a Ferrari one time and have fallen short of replicating it.
Dave, do you have a picture straight on from the side on that 308? No, what you see is what I have. You guys are slipping here - when I have posted this same picture in previous threads on this exact same subject, folks are quick to point out that the owner of this car has the directional wheels on the wrong sides of the car!
There's no thinking about it - The front wheel is definitely on the wrong side of the car. Personally speaking, the 348 wheels don't look right on the 308/328 for a couple of reasons: 1) They're very much a late 80's stylised design, with a kind of "futuristic" concept to them. 2) It's not a delicate design - There's a lot of metal surface on display. On a 348, they look fine (for me at least), because the whole 348 design was an 80's "futuristic" concept. The 308/328 series though, was based on a delicate, slimline 70's design, and the 348 wheels clash with that elegant design, as they look too "heavy" and solid for the car. 355 and 360 wheels suit the 308/328 design more because they're a more delicate, more traditional design (again, personally speaking, whilst they look better on a 308/328 than the 348 wheels, they still look wrong to me on those cars)
Something I picked up from Hank in the Mondial Forum - "AFF", or Angle Follows Flat. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Image Unavailable, Please Login Sorry, no matter what direction the wheels are facing, I am not a fan of a 348, 355 or 360 wheel on a 308. The original looks best in my opinion.
Posting for posterity. As always, the wheels are on the wrong side. No, it’s not my car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
