Has anyone had any recent experience with Highline Wheels? There were many posts in the archives back when they also did business under HLWcorp.com and Modular Wheels and they were supposedly a Fchat sponsor for a time. They have a horrible rating with the BBB but I hate to say, the wheels really look great. Has anyone bought from them in the past couple of years? Or more importantly, can anyone provide information about a reliable company that produces something similar?

Yes the wheels looks great, but if I were you I would buy the 360 Modular wheels instead (the Highline wheels are a copy of this design). The Highline wheels are 19" which are too big for the 348 IMO. I don't feel they are as well built as Speedline, BBS or HRE and well known brands. Find out how much the highline wheels weigh - you might be surprised.

Steve from Arizona and a guy from Minnesota bought these wheels last year. I think Steve had a bad experience -check the archives.

I have heard more horror stories about these guys than good ones. I bought a set of their mesh wheels for my mondial a few years back and felt I was treated ok, not great but well enough to get the deal done. When the wheels arrived with the mounted tires there were some light scratches and imperfections but not so much as to go through sending them back. That's where I hear the real problems are so I just skipped that step and accepted that I bought cheap wheels.

A lot of guys will voice their concern about safety and structural integrity and I agree with them. You are putting a lot on the line with cheap wheels. I will say I have seen these things take some serious abuse though. The guy who bought my mondial had a few driver induced problems and the wheels held up fairly well, the first few times anyway. The final blow was into a median and the left rear broke in the spokes not to mention the other miscellanous damages to the suspension and other wheels...Doh!

here is a set of wheels on ferrariads.com that I think are great and I'd scarf 'em up if I didn't already have my Ronals. For this price and some good tires you would be miles ahead. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=935

Good luck in your search. I hope I was able to help.:)

I bought mine used here at FChat. I adore them and they really make the ole 348 Jump.

I too have heard and read all the negative press from the Florida company. I even called them with some questions. Their attitude confirmed the stories. If you decide to buy from them...your on your own.

    Thanks Daniel

Standard Speciale lip spoiler. I destroyed mine on a curb last year and was looking for a replacement. Found a CF one for a ridiculous price (can't remember where) and decided to try my luck at fiberglass repair. Figured if I screw it up, who cares...it was dead anyway. Luckily it came out OK. Posted a Fiberglass repair thread here somewhere.

    Edit: found it

Thanks for the advice everyone, I imagine that some people have had a reasonable experience with them, BUT, there are just too many red flags and negative comments to consider taking a chance with them. No surprise then that they have not been a sponsor here for quite a while. Thanks also to the moderators here who "watch" the sponsors and feedback so carefully to weed out the irresponsible ones. btw, I had a great experience with Brad at Ultimate Pedals good guy and a good business!
