On my 94 348 spider the passanger window works flawlessly. However my drivers will only operate if I unplug the up/down switch and replug it. It will then go up and down, the one touch up works, the one touch down works...... but when I return later it wont go until I repeat the sequence. There is however a sound under the drivers side of dash that sounds like a selenoid lightly clicking when I press the button. Oh I have checked the large round main connector on both doors and applied stabilant-22.

Strange problem mate. Have you tried changing the left and right switches over to see what happens then? Try that and see if the problem changes to the other side. Maybe it could be as simple as the relay playing up. But still is strange. :)

    Howdy, "Crash"!

You say you have checked the large round connectors in the door jambs and treated them (the pins??) with Stab22. Have you pulled back the rubber boot (drivers side) to check where the wires attach to the back of the pins? If not, take a look, it's easy. Sometimes what happens is that you have a bad connection, or a broken wire, at the back of the pin, and opening and closing the door will make or break the contact.

doesnt sound like a wiring problem if it works when the switch is disconected.
if the relay is clicking pull the door pannel and check the power and ground at the motor. It sounds more like a relay or control unit fault that gets reset when you remove the power source(switch). A battery disconnect would confirm this train of thought. Good luck
