Had my windscreen replaced yesterday as it has a crack/chip in it.

They also broke the drivers windscreen wiper arm which had to be replaced.

Windscreen parts and labour: UK £2,300

Drivers windscreen wiper arm: UK £388 (part only)

I'm only paying £40 towards the windscreen. All done via insurance.

But £388 for a windscreen wiper arm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sy, if your figure of 2,300 GBP is converted to Dollars at $1.82/Pound, which is the latest figure I have seen, that equals $4186. The new windscreen for my 348ts cost about $3600 three years ago, so I suppose that is about right. My insurance covered all but $250 of it.

    A new wiper arm cost 388 GBP? That's over $700 US !!

Hey Collin, is there a Safelite in Ca.?

    Was it an OEM windshield?

How did they handle the trim pieces around the WS? Did they bend them?

Sounds right to me. Autoglass did mine in the UK and did a good job too.

I went through much discussion on getting the right glass as mine was not tinted. Did find the mirror mount point was square on the new one but round on the old. - Small points to note.

Frightening on the wiper arm though
