I am in the process of repairing my driver's side wiper and I found that the pantographic part of the assembly was beoken...apparently missing a nut. Thanks to a serch of this forum, I found a photo of the part. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement part for the item identified in arrows 2 and 3? Any help would be appreciated.

Click on the logo for Ricambi & they have full exploded views of all 348 versions with part numbers & cost. Be ready in case the part you want is very rare & made out of "expensium alloy" sometimes the cost can be higher than expected. Daniel at Ricambi has been a great help with getting my new baby (1995 348 spider) sorted out. Very knowledgeable due to his ownership/experience of a 348.

    Giediprime,

Welcome to the 348 Brotherhood! I am a recent addition myself (3+ weeks in my hands & driving). I found a lot of great info & knowledge here to sort out the minor fixes/changes/mods for my new baby. There are a number of very experienced 348 owners that contribute invaluable insight/help to other members. I am glad that i can start to actually contribute to the 348 Brotherhood, instead of just taking info.

When you say the a nut is missing do you mean where arrow no 2 is pointing to in the diagram?
If so it should be in the metal plate which it is attached to on the car, its common for it to break off.
I took mine to my local turning shop, he drilled and taped the pin at either end. Using HSS, (a piece of a drill bit) he replaced the shank (Arrow no 3) and screwed them together. All for the grand total of £15.
A cheap fix to my OEM wiper ;-D

Assuming it is the same as a 355 wiper, there is nothing else to the bit shown. there's a brass bush which slips over the bit shown and sits between that and the mounting plate. Inside the mounting plate there is then a pin which is tapped into the bush to make an indent which sits in the groove pictured. It is this indent which stops the wiper arm coming out and also flapping about on the screen.

Any turning shop should be able to either source / make a replacement bush in short order.

Not sure if thats of any help?
