Looks real good, thought about doing the same on my Spider. Not too many sets of 512 wheels floating around though, any problems with fitting them Paul. Regards, Phil.
Looks great, though just barely better than the more available 355 wheels, in my opinion. In any case, either those or the 355's make the BEST looking wheel setup on 348's.
I love it!!!! Of the different Ferrari rims that can be mounted on a 348, I think the 512tr rims look the best, with the 355's in a very close second. Is that your car Paul? If it is did you use the stock bolts the same way husker did with his car? Also aren't the 512tr rears a 1/2" wider that the 355's, and do you have any rubbing problems? Man I gotta get a set of those for my car.
Very nice - I think I like these better than either the Competizione wheels or the 355 wheels for stockers. What tyre sizes are you running? ernie I am 99% sure you are right - the 512 rears I believe are 10.5" width. I am running 10" on my car with 295s and no rubbing problems. Cheers Kevin
Yeah I'm 99.9% sure. I just wanted that other .1%, LOL! Man 10.5" in the rear now that will really help traction. But I still wonder if you can use the stock bolts, as Husker did for the 355 rims. That and if the fenders need to be rolled if there is any rubbing.
It seems to me that there is a fair bit of room in the rear - I put 235s on the FRONT of my car and had to roll the fenders but the rears are fine. Dunno about the the wheel bolts.... Cheers Kevin
The car looks great! I've not seen it before with the 512 wheels. I'm glad you're getting out to drive it. Next time I'm in London, I'll look you up. Hi to your family, Paul.
Am debating which ones to fit on mine. These look fantastic. What size tyres on the car do you have. Any issues using the original bolts??
The 512TR wheels fit on the 348 with no problems - The fronts went straight on and I did actually use the original 348 bolts. The rears needed some spacers; I used 20mm with the longer bolts to bring the front of the rim to the exact same place where the late USA 94 rims would sit. There is still quite a bit of room between the back of the rim and the shocks but without the spacer I would say that it may be a bit on the tight side. Ernie - quite right 10.5 inch on the rears, The tyre sizes used are as follows: Front - 235/40/18 Rear - 295/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport II Jeff - good to hear from you - please feel free to give e a call when your over next - When the weather breaks I'll be glad of a run out!! I am really pleased with them and I dont think I will be too popular with the Testarossa owners as the 512TR rims are a popular alternative to the OE Rims & the 512TR rims are hard enough to find without the likes of us 348 owners hunting for them as well! Thanks for all the positive replies!! Cheers Paul
Same sizes I am running on my spider only I believe I have 8's and 10's. Good to know though that the extra 1/2 inch of width will go under if I need some 19's.... Cheers Kevin
