I took my Ferrari 348TS for a ride the other night I bottomed out,and it also ran a little hotter than usual(200-210) but it was 92 degrees out that night.I came home and put her away, and the next day I looked under the car as I usually do and saw a nice size puddle that looked and felt oily(checked oil and it was full)looking at the rear of the car,the puddle was on the right rear up towards the rear window(approx.)I could find no leaks.I started the car warmed her up and pulled her out of the garage, let her run awhile, and pulled her back in.The next day I looked under the car again as I always do,and saw no more puddles,I started the car and a buzzing sound(not the sealt belt or the door open buzzer)keeps going off,and wont stop no matter what I do.I don't know if I can even drive it to a mechanic.Anyone out there have any ideas what that buzzing sound is?any help would be greatfully appreciated as no Ferrari dealers are even close to me.My email if you can help:[email protected] in advance.Jim.

Does the buzzing change frequency with changes in engine RPM? I presume you crawled under and found no signs of leakage? No recent work done back there? Does the A/C work and does turning that on affect the buzzing at all?

Your leak location (RR corner, forward towards the rear window) sounds like it might be from the oil cooler area (bottom of right hand radiator). Try listening to the "buzzing" sound from the area of the strakes behind the right door. If it seems louder around there, the fan on your oil cooler might have been damaged when the car bottomed out.

Because you're new here, I have to ask if it's possible that you don't know how to correctly check the oil level in the tank? If you're checking it with the engine cold / not running, your oil level might actually be much lower than you think it is.

thanks I will do that.I checked the oil according to the book, ran the engine till she was warm enough, then shut it off, pulled out the dip stick, and it was between min & max.

I just noticed that my automatic shoulder seat belt on the drivers side is not working.I cant find a fuse for it,and don't know anything else about it.The buzzing is continuious.Could it be the auto seat belt?

Is the buzzing an actual buzzer/alarm or do mean it's a mechanical vibration/rattle?

it is a buzzer sound almost exactly like the seat belt buzzer but louder.i wonder if it could be the auto shoulder seat belt buzzer, because that seat belt don't work on the drivers side now,but I don't know what could be wrong with that seat belt?

Ahhh, I thought it was a rattle kind of thing. If it's an actual buzzer it should be fairly easy to find just by listening around. I presume it's inside the car, not really outside. Most alarm buzzers are under the dash. My motorized seatbelts are long gone, so hopefully someone else has more detailed knowledge. I can tell you the motor is behind the panel behind the seat , right by the ECU computer, and part of the electronic brains are behind the carpeted panel on the lower side of the console to the left of your passenger's ankles.
If it is an alarm buzzer inside the cabin, and you have no dashboard warning lights or abnormal instrument readings, then I'm guessing that problem is unrelated to the oil puddle issue.

Underneath the dash, on the left-hand side (approx. in front of your left knee while seated) is the speaker for the seat belt buzzer. Disconnect the speaker leads and see if the sound goes away. If so, that noise is likely related to your stuck belt.

As far as the location of the puddle, that sounds like either coolant from the overflow tank or oil from the oil cooler. Is it possible it was some coolant that mixed with some oil already on the ground to make it seem oily? You did mention it was hot out on the drive prior to noticing the puddle.

If it is definitely oil on the ground, remove the rear wheel liner on the passenger side (note there are multiple pieces to the liner, only the front-most piece needs to be removed) and inspect the oil cooler radiator and plumbing for signs of a leak.
