I found a 92 348SS red/blk 30,000KMS which is about 20,000 miles....i think its a #45-49 car, not sure havent confirmed yet, original owner, work was done recently for service, but not happy about where he vrought it for the service (not very good fcar techs, more porche mechanics)....whats it worth ball park ? He is looking at 95,000CDN, which is about 80,000US.
    Thanks.

Don't know about canada, but around 60K would be the high end in the US I think.

Any good mechanic can do service. I would not worry too much about that.

I thought 348SS's were for US market only? Or was it NA?

The series started in '92 but only a few were built. There were 100 made in '92 and '93. Check the vin #. Should be a plaque with # of 100.

Even though it was a limited edition, they don't seem to command much more than a regular 348. $60 - $65K USD upper end. Depends on miles and service.

I have a 92 SS (No. 9 of 100) with 11,000 original miles. I would rather have the SS because of the extra's that were added and knowing its a step above the TS. I DO NOT AGREE THEY FETCH ABOUT THE SAME AS A TS. Send me an email and we will talk. The SS is worth the $60-65k if in excellent condition, which mine is. See my previous posts, lots of pictures and description.

I don't think I've ever seen one sell for over $60k usd.

Yes, they list for $60k-$65k but never sell there. You just see the seller place the ad, delete the ad, replace the ad.....car just sits....no offers.

    So my guess is $55k.

    red/black naturally!

when I was shopping for my 348, clean CDA 348ts were $75-79k from tier1 dealers, and a few 348ss were listed at $85k CDA, this was two years ago. I didn't really see enough of an upgrade to justify the cost over the base 348. although would of been cool to have anyways.

I haven't been paying much attention to the market the last year or so, but can't imagine they'd be much more. $95k seems like a fantasy imo, although original owner, if real, is worth something.

In determining the market price of the Speciale, one must consider that the Speciale is, really, a "special" car.

There's no way it's worth only 50k. And I know as a Speciale owner I may seem biased to some. But I know plenty of nutjobs out there -- nutjobs like myself -- who want a Speciale if they are going to buy a 348.

My car is worth around 70k. If I were to sell it, I would ask that much -- and not so I could get rich and rip somebody off. I would ask it because that's what I feel the car is worth based on its condition, on the price I paid for it, on the tens of thousands of dollars I have put into it to get into absolutely 100% working order, and on the tremendously positive experience I've had in owning the car.

When you buy a garage queen that needs tuning, that's one thing. When you buy something that's been loved, cared for, driven properly and carefully and not by a novice or a hotshot, and still has low miles, that's something else.

Don't be afraid to pay a premium for the perfect Speciale.

The 1st 12 SS cars are 1992's. The 88 following are '93's. Or so they tell me.

A good SS is a car priced in the $60's US. I have 78/100. Get one if u can and you will never regret it. However, that premium is too steep. Even Lamborghini of Dallas wasn't asking that much for theirs (32 or 36/100).

I've been disputing that wisdom for some time now. I have a list of VIN numbers which indicates that at least 22-23 of the first 100 Speciales were 1992 models. Indeed, mine is # 20/100 and is a 1992.

I don't mean to be argumentative or to dispute you, just relaying some information I think is relevant.

As one said, "you will not regret it". A well taken care of car and not driven by a hotshot is what I have and I would not let it go for cheap.
