Is the 'emergency flasher' button on the console supposed to be backlit like the 'foglight', 'rear window defost', and 'parklight' buttons are right beside it?
    Any info would be great.
    Thanks,
    Don

If the emergency flasher button is supposed to be backlit when the headlights are turned on .... is the fuel door relaese button supposed to be backlit as well?
Thanks in advance to anyone that can enlighten me.... no pun intended!

Hi, Don. Congratulations on your 348, and welcome to Ferrari Chat.

On my 348, the emergency flasher button IS backlit, and the fuel lid door release button IS also backlit. I think these have little LED bulbs in them though, not conventional bulbs. Doesn't ND have a thread about replacing these? Otherwise, you have to replace the switch.

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your kind words .... and info. I kinda figured that those two buttons should be backlit. I am new to this so forgive me for asking... but what is ND? I would really like to get these two buttons lit like they should be.
    Thanks again,
    Don

ND is FChat member "No Doubt", who has an enormous 348 resource site. Haven't you seen that yet? Someone (I THINK it was ND) had a thread recently about replacing the LED's in the switches. They're soldered in IIRC.

    Hi Jeff,
I did come across a lot of No Doubt's helpful tips as i was browsing this evening. Thanks for pointing me in a useful direction.

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for your great write up on the led conversion. It is written so well i might even give it a whack myself! If i chicken out would you consider fixing a Canadian's module? Unfortunately i have both a 'fuel door' button in the lower console AND a 'hazard light' button in the upper console burnt out! Why couldn't they be in the same module??!! Rats!

    Thanks guys,
    Don
