Hi everyone, 1993 348ts. As the winter has crept in I noticed something I was never aware of before today. I opened the drivers door, got in and before closing the door I closed the window fully. When I pulled the door to shut it the door bounced back. I thought something was caught or that I had pressed the central door locking button by mistake but didn't. So I opened the door, lowered the window and the door shut perfectly. I tried this a few times and for some reason if I close the window fully while the door is open then the door will not shut. I tried this on the passenger side too and was similar but not as bad. The door would latch but not close fully. Anyone else experience this? Many thanks.
I have never had this problem in my 348 but in other cars, there is an stop adjustment that limits the upper travel of the window. If the stop slipped, the window can over travel.
Take my word for it leave the window down just an 1/8th inch. It's a nightmare in that door. God I know. I wish someone made a roll up conversion
