    Hi everyone, I have a 348ts, I am having the car repainted, I was wondering what the black rubber, caulk, sealer is made of along the rear. Above the quarter panel. It is black rubber looking. Please help if you can [email protected]

    I believe it is black silicone. The joint is filled with lead (if I remember reading a UK thread correctly).

    just a follow up, Im not sure if this product can be obtained on line. Any ideas?

    you can go to a body shop supplier , it is 3m body seam sealer . 3m numbers are 08364 or 08500.

    Right -- black silicone is not the same thing (too shiny, for one thing).
