I ve been driving the 348TS for some weeks now Because the weather is very bad lately I noticed the roof was leaking The rubbers seem OK I adjusted the latches Even taped the front and rear gap Keeps leaking Did a search here but did not find a lot Somebody has some experience in this area??
Hi I live in the same country, not quiet lucky at the moment weatherwise indeed; Also drives the TS, not leaking, so cant really help but heard quiet a few times that rubber seals were probably the cause of these leaks. I try as much as possible not to drive while raining. only sunny and dry roads will do. What part of the country are you from? Alex
I live in Singapore. It rains quite often. And sometimes when it pours, it really pours. I have a 348 TS but it does not leak - not even in the middle of the heaviest tropical downpours. I do remember my mechanic saying, however, that the seals on my targa top has been "upgraded" to the 355 seals. I am not sure what that means but I hope this will enable you to look further into this issue. Good luck!
Hi CMNHO, Sorry for bringing up an old thread but I live in Singapore as well and was looking at a used Ferrari 348TS for sale. There were some concerns with the car and in particular, someone I was talking to at the mechanic's shop told me that 348TS' were notorious for their water leaks. I was just wondering if you were able to clarify which seals were installed and if you were able to provide some advice on a purchase/running of one in Singapore. Best Regards, Kristafury
There is stuff out here for it actually. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/348-ts-1991-roofs-leaks.374224/
Hi Ferrarium! Thanks for the quick reply, I myself have had a look at the various threads but it is just that there are about 5 348's in Singapore (close to the equator so summer all year round, very humid and known for torrential rain) so when I read about CMNHO having a 348TS that was was able to withstand Singapore's weather I was wondering what kind of set-up he had with his car and I was just having a shot in the dark in contacting him as he doesn't seem to be online that frequently but having a local in the same situation would be much more convenient.
