What is it about the windshield wiper park position that seems to elude most photographers. Maybe it is just not wanting to move, what appears to be, a delicate item on an expensive car?

"Sorry, it just snapped off in my hand. I just moved it a 1/4 inch"

Maybe this is the aerodynamic race position? Or is this the normal park position for single wipe?

That's "about right" for the single wiper. Mine has ended up parking on the wrong (ie: driver's) side. I figure something slipped 180/90 degrees inside the motor mechanism. Often the single wiper cars seems to have wiper-parking problems. Such is life. :)

    Hello,
I am new to this thread, and just an admirer of the series here (so far). I'm going through my Italian Car learning curve with my Maserati 3500 GT, and look at the 350/400 as the ultimate in my book.
I was hoping to learn the differences, and pro & cons of the various models here; better perfomers, more desirable, common maladies, things to look out for, etc......
Can anyone help steer this beginner in the right direction?
    Many Thanks, RF.

Thanks Malcolm, Looks like your single wipe parks nice and low. Any more photos?

Just another look at ww park.
Is this a Lucas motor and wheel box system? I see the nut holding the arm.
The double wiper Lucas system on a later GT400 2+2 uses the more common simple clip on the knurled stub, like a Ford or Chevy.
    Cheers

Kinda looks like the single wiper arm is too long.....and the blade is too short. Is there any understanding of what was OEM on 350/400 with single wiper? Arm length? blade length? part numbers? manufacture? markings? finish?

Is there a problem with a longer blade not wiping an adequate pattern if it gets too long when used with a single arm??
    Cheers

Do not know location or ownership details - photo found at severestcars.com with no details, no contacts on website either.
Touring badges, high hung shoulder straps, dual wiper, Talbot type mirror, and color would make this 2+2 pretty distinctive.
    Thanks
    Craig

From what I remember, I saw the picture on Autodrome's website as well as on Jean-Pierre Slavic's website:

    www.slaviccollection.com

I also saw it in the flesh at Geneva Classic three years ago when Slavic's collection was on display.

Don't have my car in front of me (will in a few weeks) but the single wiper works extremely well, I really like it. And yes, a single acorn nut.

I think mine is all correct, I'll document by mid-august. Going to do a bit of work on it before Concorso -- doesn't need much, but I think the automatic cooling fan is not coming on.

Serial number is #0634 but the car lived as 400GT2+2 #0415 for some years.

The whole story can be found at:
    http://www.kidston.com/kidston-cars/50/1966-Lamborghini-400GT

Last I heard about the car was in 2009 when it was sold to private collector in Europe

Here is an ad from 1968 for Talbot mirrors.
Interesting that the sizes listed dont match the usual description (3.5/4.0).
These bullet mirrors appear to be 1950's design that carried themselves well in to the late 70's.
Nothing like the flat black large flag mirrors of the 80's 90's.
These chrome Talbot mirrors are a fun detail that may only apply to 350-400 series Lamborghini.
Maybe early P400? Or would Bertone wince at the thought.

It's still going pretty well, Craig. Thanks for asking. Actually, I throw the original wheels on for Concorso, so not too many folks know about this mod. "it rocks!"

    Cheers,

That enthusiast was our very own Marcel Wallenberg! I remember when he started researching it, maybe a year or two ago.

Are these Talbot 300 Berlin Juniors or Seniors?
Dual headlight, dual wipers, dual everything.....too much with dual mirrors?
Looks very nice, good color combination with Azzurro Fiat and Senape.

Yes it does, Craig. I prefer the flat "stupid-looking" ones.
