EM42, when will you pick #6300 up from Autodrome ? As far as I'm concerned since I've discovered it in Belgium...I'm terribly curious to see how it will look by now !
Nonsense. Exactly how am I wrong? We have all seen these sheets with each car time & time again. They are nothing new. Are they what you call detailed?
>>We have all seen these sheets with each car time & time again. They are nothing new. << I see. We have all seen them, with each car, time & time again, according to Joe..... time & time again. But....Joe doesn't have one to post. He's just seen them....time & time again, with each car. But....Joe doesn't know what's in them. >>John: If you believe what Fred has recently stated, the build sheet for this car will have "very detailed records" including details of the person who placed the order with Automobili Lamborghini SpA, details of the Concessionaire who accepted the order, details of the production of the car including date of build commencement, details of the car's livery including paint and leather code numbers, details of production markings/stampings for chassis/body/engine, details of engine & transmission including details of engine specification and recorded dyno-tested performance output for this car's engine, details of brand and specification of electrical hydraulic & mechanical components used in this car's construction, details of brand & specification of wheels & tires used in this car's manufacture, details of completion date, details of date of testing and test driver's rectification notes, details of rectification items and completion date, and details of delivery date to the proud owner. As with you, Id love to see same published right here in this thread, in support of the "very detailed records" that Fred claims Lamborghini kept. JS << Um....but we've seen these build sheets, with each car, time & time again...right? I mean, Joe, you don't know what's in them, but you've seen them....time & time again...? Am I understanding you correctly? Probably not...no doubt. ;^D Fred
No. Let me try this way: 4 of the Miuras I have owned have the same format of build sheet as posted above. Same thing really, just a different car. No, I haven't bothered to post them upon this thread. No they are NOT that I would describe as "very detailed". Thats my opinion and Im sticking to it.
I still have to be patient. Mr Ciclet just starts the reassembling of the motor... I'll let you know when I got more info!!!
This is an illuminating conversation Joe. So when you say "We have all seen these sheets with each car time & time again. They are nothing new. " -- that's not really true, is it? It looks to me as if you really haven't seen "these sheets with each car" -- have you? I mean, nobody outside the factory archives has that kind of access...correct? I'm guessing not even close to it. That's just an educated guess, but it's based on facts. Just trying to understand how you arrived at your opinion Joe Cheers, Fred
Just to let you know that #1240 is still alive and in good hands in Belgium. I'm not authorized to reveal owner's name, and for the one who knows who he is... please consider & respect owner's request to stay unknown !!! Thansk for him. Hi Olivier, Thanks for sharing! This green car was also present at the 40 Anni party in Italy, May 2003 It was also shown at the Bizzarini exhibition in Belgium, August 2004 Besides this car, also a light blue 350 GT and a very nice restored grey/tobacco 400 GT were to be seen. Ciao! Marcel
Hi all early 350 GT spotters, The Lamborghini 350 GT made it's debut at the Geneva Auto Show, March 1964 That was #0101. Please note the six tailpipes and 2+1 script. In the background is chassis #0100. #0101 was green with cream interior, and this car is also on the first 350 GT brochure. unfortunatly this car was crashed before it could have been delivered, and does not longer exist. Any corrections/additions/pictures highly appreciated... Thanks for sharing the "green coloured" picture... Marcel, are you going to Houten this coming week end ? I will go saturday, hope to meet you there !
Hi Olivier, On the 350 Gt brochure picture the car looks more blue then green. I think this Verde Geneva is a blue"ish" green, like the water of the Meditaranian Sea. Both cars have the one piece front bumper. Perhaps I will be there saturday morning, I will let you know, so we can meet, great! Ciao! Marcel
Hi Marcel, No corrections, but do you know all this for a fact? Or is this just repeating what is generally known to be true? There's so little documentation when it comes to these two cars (100, 101) Best regards, Fred PS: Marcel DeLonge said #101 was finished 9th March 1964 -- When was the Geneva show? I could look it up...but I'm lazy
Hi Fred, Just repeating what is generally known to be true. I think there is still a lot to learn from these early 350 GT's, too many question marks here. i was hoping to start a discussion here about these cars so we can hiopefully learn something new. The Geneva Show was also in march 1964 by the way. If anybody has pictures of early 350 GT cars, please join in. I'm really interested in the cars with the one piece front bumper and vertical slats. These cars were displayed at Car Shows, but I have never seen a picture of such original car in the hands of a costumer, apart from the recently restored #0102 and #0106. Anybody? Ciao, Marcello
Yes, our beloved friend Marcel de Lange... Today, 30 october 2008 is exactly 2 years ago since he passed away..... We must never forget him! Ciao! Marcello Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi all, This 350 GT with German plates HS-HR710 was owned by Han Pomp in 1988-89. I believe this is a different car then the 350 GT #0252 he also owned later. Anybody know wich car this could be? Ciao! Marcello Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi all, I took this picture of a blue/tobacco 350 GT during the Tour Auto event in France, april 2000 the car was used as an official TA PRESSE car. Chassisnumber anybody? Ciao! Marcello Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Fred, These are all pictures of the restoration of the steel 350 GT #0442. Work done by well known German Lamborghini workshop from Wolfgang Instinsky Update your files ;-) Ciao! Marcello
When it comes to Lamborghini history, Marcel will always be with us.... He just told me that the black Swiss mystery 350 GT that was present in the UK May 2005, was #0214. Marcel is in the picture with the orange jacket. So this is the ex Jerry J. Moore collection car, Houston, Texas. The car has a CH club member sticker, so you probably know him. Ciao! Thanks Marcello! I actually have a file on 442, with many of the same photos. Don't know why I couldn't figure it out myself DOH! Fred
