0205 is spectacular in person, that said the Blu Scuro 0223 (below) which I sold from an FChatter to a major Midwest collector was similarly nice. I sold 0205 to the current discreet collector owner a few years ago, when it sells again I hope to share, it deserves to be driven Image Unavailable, Please Login
Recorded in factory records as delivered in color scheme "silver / black", and not black/beige as RM wrote…. #0232 finally sold by RM at Petersen Museum for $ 500,000 at hammer
This is why I'm pointing the catalog of most of Auction Houses… with bad file preparation, they biaised the offers and the results are not reflecting the market trends… as I'm selling similar cars for much better value...
Yes Raymond, that is the original #0232, this car: http://www.lamborghini-register.nl/lamborghini/home/v12-classici/350-400/350-gt-400-gt-internazionale/0232-0
The silver car was owned by Han Pomp in the late 1980's. That car is the original #0232 for sure. That car is still silver today. We think that the black car in the USA that was sold yesterday was original 350 GT #0256, renumbered at some point to #0232..So there are two cars with the same chassis number. This is #0256/#0232: http://www.lamborghini-register.nl/lamborghini/home/v12-classici/350-400/350-gt-400-gt-internazionale/0256-0
Thank you Marcel, You just contribute to my point : the catalog of most of Auction Houses have bad file preparation, for Lamborghini, they biaised the offers... and the official results are not reflecting the market trends !!! More and more true collectors are now working//buying with specialist & renowed brokers instead of Auction houses...
2x potential buyers called me and I reported them what was mentionned in the factory production and delivery lists… silver / nero not Matching color scheme… the Truth is even worst with the demonstration of Marcel… a car swap VIN… this fact can lead the buyer to a lawsuite again RM as the description in the catalog is NOT accurate, there is a legal liability involved here… all this because the "Masters experts/guys" working for auction houses all believe they have whole knowledge and infos access to all brands… this is pure bullsh..t
I cant help but think it needs a tyre with a bigger diameter to fill the wheel arch. It should be a fulll profile 205VR15 https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/lamborghini/350gt.html Image Unavailable, Please Login
I fully agree with you. After having seen a few examples like this one I would never ever trust the description of a car done by an auction house. I would always do my own research or ask an expert.
Not at all, I generally do my homework, I was there to look at the Countach S which my client purchased and is happy with, and I also looked at the Miura SV and F40 for other clients, all of which do not have an identity crisis, thankfully. TBH I never even looked at the 350 GT, there wasn't enough time.
better to say in other simple words that you were not interested in the 350 GT and didn't look at it…
Don't get me wrong, it looked like a nice car from a distance, per the last 2 pages, I have sold 2 really nice 350 GTs in recent times and I do like them so ordinarily I'd have checked it out, but simply put I was there to look at 3 other cars for specific clients which took up all my time.
Looking to the description and characteristics this must be #0214 , a late one from the first batch of 50 cars.
#0214 was grigio grafite when new. It was black when it was in the Jerry J Moore collection in the nineties and remained black when it went to a Swiss owner. Recently during the restoration in Italy it received an Azzurro fiat paint. Now for sale in The Netherlands.
Hi we have just re done these web pages https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/lamborghini/400gt.html & https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/lamborghini/350gt.html Please let me know if you see any mistakes on there. Or if you think of anything that would make them better, maybe pictures. detail about tyre pressures. build sheets etc it would be much appreciated
