The 3500GT is now getting painted...yeah...only about 4 years now...but who is counting! White was the original color...I chose the white paint from the example earlier in this thread of the "Ferrari." Black leather with black carpeting. Couldn't easily get my hands on Italian stuff so the leather and carpeting is sourced from Rolls Royce.
More painting getting done. Car is really starting to come together! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Your car looks stunning in white. Congratulations, it is coming together nicely. Your patience is paying off.
Thanks! By the way...the steering wheel was finished by your guy, haven't seen it yet but the restorer got it back at the shop last week and says it looks factory new. Many thanks again for that lead!
Thanks Man. I struggled with which color to go wth, I'm glad I settled on the white (as many here suggested I do)...really stunning! Another couple months...hopefully we'll be done.
It's looking really good. What was the paint type and color that you used??? I'm asking because my 3500 was originally white with red. Many thanks and she's looking great. ~Trev
It is the same white as in the photo from post#115. A creamy white with the faintest touch of yellow in it, very classy...like melted butter in milk.
More pix! The exterior is almost done, next will be completely the interior in Black. When the project is done I'll start a new thread loading alll the pictures start to finish. Hoepfully in about 2-3 months. Thanks, white was the original color, but I went with a more creamy "rich" white rather than the stock Maserati 1959 white...and the engine color (which I know Walter doesn't approve of...but can easily be changed in the future if necessary ) was to emulate the modern Maserati engine coloring used in the Gransport (I had a Bianco Fuji Gransport a few years back). The red cam cover with the white exterior, and then the black interior will all together be stunning as a complete package I think. Completely love it!! It is finally coming together, without any law suits... truly a restoration first! I kid! When do you expect to get her back to the homestead?
