Help! This car came to me with the engine in bits!
Now back together, and ready to start her up.

I have never worked with this type of distributor and twin coil system. Just to get it running can I just use 1 set of plugs?

Any tips on the best way to do this?

    Thanks

Set both coils to fire at the same time.

With the distributor out use a couple of multimeters or test lights and move one of the points so that it opens at the same time as the other.

Once the engine is running check timing and dwell on both the #1 spark plugs. Some people set the timing of one coil to be a few degrees off in order to get a longer spark. You can experiment with this and see which setup is better for your engine.
