I'm 99% sure that was Kevin C's car. He must have sold it. The restoration on it is out of this world high end. It won last years event at Keenland.
It was not long ago, when you could find a nice 350GT, for around 85K. Quite a few, of the classic Lamborghini cars have done well over the last five years.
Lol, thats my thought aswell. Im no expert on theese cars, its a little hard to explain, but the car looks to good to be true if you know what i mean.
Pretty cool, but after looking at the photos I have a couple of comments... I don't think those are the correct gas lines in the engine compartment. The car is a later one so I could be wrong. But -- definitely it's missing the decals from the air cleaners. These are the sort of details that make me think it would need a once-over from a pro to determine exactly how good of a restoration it really is. Also, just basing the price on the RS car that "sold" last year for $440k isn't good enough, I'm afraid, because there is just so much speculation around that particular sale. Anyway...cool car Fred PS: Also, I don't think it's 358. 358 was Chris Rose's car (I think) which sold at Fantasy Junction a few years ago -- silver/red. There was only one black 350GT ever made, 217. So also, the car has the incorrect factory color -- fwiw. I wonder if this is instead 364, which had engine 358. Just a guess... (tho that one was azzurro verde -- blue-green...?)
Hi Fred, I agree with you that this car is not #0358. #0358 is currently for sale in France http://www.collection-cars-sales.com/sale-file.php?id=768 The car on ebay has the USA rear lights, probably originally supplied in USA.
Looks great to me... parked a little close to the rocks so maybe that made it hard to get a shot of the front end....? either way, i would be shocked if it didn't look as good as the rest of it. It's in Santa Barbara so that's a good sign the owner has enough money to take care of it and then some. I also remember in 2000/2001 when excellent examples were 80grand and ones needing work were 40. Old Lambos= always going up New Lambos= always going down
Yay Kevin! I always worry about going out on a limb like that all by myself. Thanks for joining me. Fred
