    They're plastic.

    I put a timing belt cover in the dishwasher last night. Seeing that photo is what caught my attention to this thread.

    I'm sure glad you caught me! I don't know why, but I just assumed that the "cheese graters" were metal.

    I sure hate to give bad advice! John, thanks for averting disaster on that one.

    For the record, folks, Bradley advocates powdercoating your metal parts only. :)

    Mine are aluminum, with screws instead of clips on the front fins.
    My car is a late 1981, Euro.
    ( &, I always wanted a Saab Sonett.II.)

    John,

    My rear Euro header has been repaired, two cracked tubes. Have them re-bend the cracked tubes, the 29 year old italian metal is really thin and crappy..
    Then "Cermachrome" coated.

    Off to the powder guy..

    All,

    I am back on 14 hour days. Just a little Ferrari work done.
    (A Job & Working is rare in todays economy..)

    Got my intake plenum back,, it now matches the valve covers,, factory Mondial-8 wrinkle black.

    I want with satin black on the side "Cheese Graters." This matches the front bonnet grill.
    Factory Euro,, but, I think I have the only car with satin side grates.

    Cutting some aluminum for the right side, inside, "A" pillar cover.
    Saving money.

    BTW, a Proper oil cap is worth a 3 HP increase,, a type "R" oil cap will give you 4 HP.....
