Edwardo. May I ask a favor of you? Since your engine is out I assume the bell housing is also out or exposed, and the engine is at the builder I was wondering if I might get you to make a gravestone rubbing of the engine to bellhosing mating surface or a simple outline tracing of the bell housing. I don't believe there is a gasket there but if there is a simple tracing would suffice. I have a project (Nascar and 32 valves) idea in mind and a simple comparison will reveal a lot but my engine assembly is in situ and complete. PM me for follow on contact. thanks so much Ross

Hi Edwardo, I see your car is bumperless........ could/would you light the front end or push it out side and shoot a couple pics to see how the bumper mounts and holes look like? what about the rear? we had this conversation a couple years back and both ours were still mounted so they were impossible to understand how mounting mods could be made. Now yours are apart. My FRP production table needs to have its adjustable height leg's mounting plates welded on and I can start repairing and molding the male patterns of the new covers. plus I want to see it outside in the sun to see how its coming along its been hidden for so long.

I had two blocks,,, a 1978 and my 1981. Both blocks had 3 loose main caps, +- 0.020" total play......? They were kneerled and machined...... Yes , expensive to do. We're both blocks made at 2:30 pm Friday afternoon, after a two hour lunch, with a bottle of Lambrusco.....? A aaaa yes. All, Check your 308 main caps. Edwardo
