Are you gona run your motor without a harmonic balancer? I know some people have mentioned the new motors don't have one, but then I thought someone mentioned there's some absortion device in the flywheel? Sean, Yes.... sans Harmonic Balancer, , , Grazzi after, logically, a complete Blueprinting of the 2V motor. My shop guy is now looking at December,,, I have 2 motors in the tank now.  Oh Hey Sean, Do you an extra QV liner lying around? ($$$.$$.....?) 1st motor only going 9.8:1 though,,,, (I believe the Bad Gas issue isn't going away soon..) Next motor 14:1 for E85,,, I got the Bosch 330, 440 and Delphi 880 injectors NOW.. I dont know which ones Ill be using. Replacing tanks with 304 SS.. I hope to blow Blue flames out the engine cover,,, ha ha. And, I wanna copy your motor mount idea . sweet . . . regarding a liner do you care about Nikasil? didn't that start on the QV? don't have any if that's the case but PM me if you're having issues . . . I seem to get really good prices on parts . cheers
I do think Nikasil started on the QV - for sure it was on the 3.2. It's worth some extra $ if you have a choice.
Yes Guys, I have 7 Nikisil liners for my E85 motor..... They are going to get bored out then reconditioned. One used Nikisil liner would be nice. Edwardo
do you recoat them after boring? are they actually aluminum? if they are you've gotta coat them with something right?
Nikisil liners.. Get carbide bored,,, between 8-16 thousanths over. Nikisil is then reapplied, , , , , between 4-8 thousanths thick. $ 205.00 for each liner...! (Or, $ 155.00 each at Norwood Autocraft, , , ,thanks Pat.) Edwardo Image Unavailable, Please Login
