    Anyone have a pair of OEM Ferrari Challenge Seats they want to sell?

    I am looking for NEW or USED OMP Type that came with the car. With all the Challenge cars now outdated from the Original Ferrari Challenge Series the seats are no longer leagal for other series currently running? I could be wrong on that part, regardless if you have upgraded to a new FIA approved seat and want to make room in your garage I would be most interested in your old set.

    PS. Any other F355 Challenge parts you might want to sell let me know as well.

    When you say "illegal" - what do you mean? If expired is the definition, consider this: its generally acepted by most sanctioning bodies (SCCA, Grand Am and NASA) that if the seat has a rear support then it is not subject to expiration.

    illegal = Not Allowed = expired (more less the same)

    The exception to that is FIA homologated 8855-1999 seats provided they are mounted in accordance to those standards (8855-1999) then after 5 years the seat back brace is required.

    PS. I always like an answer correcting the original message but, wish the reply would have been more in the direction to what I was originally asking... ;P)

    Still looking but not finding much? The NEW OMP type seats are a bit different and the Carbon Fiber type are not offered in Red? I wonder if they would do a custom order on the WRC Carbon with red cloth?

    PS. Anyone else Tracking your F355 or slowly converting to Light F355 Challenge, Speedline Wheels, Racing Seats, Rear Wing, Suspension, etc...

    Actually not always. SCCA permits expired seats to be retained with a back rest support to the cage. Similarly for Proracing such as World Challenge

    I would be willing to sell my factory carbon OMP seat, I'm pulling it from the car this weekend as it does not fit me very well and I want a halo seat.

    I think the issue may be are you really willing to pay what these would go for on the open market? While expired, as pointed out, install a back brace and it's good forever. Given that it's a carbon fiber seat, new ones go for about $2,400. If you think you can pick one up for $500 you'll be waiting a long time. It seems like older, but in date seats sell for 3/4 of new price and expired go for 1/2 or more.

    I'd be open to a serious offer and if it means anything to you, it is Milka Duno's old seat. Let me know if you are interested ...

    My seat is now out of the car and available for sale. I also weighed it, just 10 lbs!

    It's an original OMP WRC seat. Originally red in color, but was recovered black. Current replacement cost is $2,100. Make a reasonable offer and I will also throw in the seat brackets for free.

    I have two factory seats, one 360 challenge seat in black (maybe a 355) and the other a 360 NGT seat in Red. Seat are located in Houston. PM'd you as well.
