    Hi all, I would like to add the 3rd brake light to my 2.7 355 Spyder. Apart from the purchase of the light itself and some wiring, what else would be needed?

    The black perforated metal strip....but why go to all the trouble? I'd just leave it be. More bulbs to change/replace periodically... ;)

    Hardly a big job, get it done fella. Why go to the trouble? because he can and it looks an easy conversion;)

    Not really. The mounting location on the 355 is completely different, it is in the tail, not the engine lid. He will need the Hella light bar, and a different perforated metal piece (it's the part that also holds the "355" emblem)

    Gaining access to the location to swap out those parts is pretty involved. Just to get to the Hella light bar, you have to drill the rivets holding the black metal trim on the top of the sill. To remove the perforated metal piece will definitely entail removal of a bunch of nuts...not sure but maybe some more rivets as well.
