I replaced all (4) O2 sensors 3 years/10k miles ago and scan shows they are all bad (slow response)? Will not complain if they "need" replacement, but wonder if this is "normal?"

    @Rifledriver mentioned he replaces 348, 355, 456, and 550 sensors often,

I can tell you that 355 eats O2 sensors for breakfast.

LOL......ok.......not good to know, but good to know.

    Is there any particular reason?

All four are slow to respond 133, 139, 153, and 159.
Car seems to be running fine. Have not checked fuel trims,

What symptoms should or might be present?

Does is matter that I have no CATS?

There is evidence to suggest it can be caused by poor supply voltage. Other makes routinely replace relays responsible for the power supply.

Also Bosch O2s are not in anyway the same quality that
    A. They supplied to Ferrari or
    B. That they used to supply to us.

Our E55 got a CEL for a slow O2. I got the Bosch number off the old one and replaced it with a Bosch part from Rock Auto. CEL came right back. At the suggestion of a good Mercedes mechanic I got another new one. Same thing. Diagnosed everything else. No sign of any issue outside of the O2. He suggested getting an O2 from Mercedes. I did and it fixed the problem. I told a friend who is automotive engineer and has worked for several car companies. He told me it was really cute that I actually thought the quality of a part from Bosch or anyone else was as good as it is from the dealer. He said OEM manufacturers have much higher QA standards than any of their suppliers for the same parts.
That being said if you go to a Ferrari dealer part counter and get an O2 sensor it probably did not come from Ferrari.

No one likes to be the fool, but I feel like that's the road I am traveling. Is there any option other than throwing cash and hoping Santa still exists?
Should I look the other way and be happy I got three years out of my sensors?

Ha anyone tried ditching the Bosch sensors for a NTK sensor? I've thought about it for my 2.7 car. Don't know of a cross reference for a 5.2.

My old Bosch parts dealer told me he personally preferred Denso o2 sensors for better durability...

If you look it up by application on Rock Auto they will probably give you a few brand choices.

Bosch has gotten so bad I'm pretty ready to just give up on them.

For 2.7 Rock Auto lists NTK, Bosch and Walker. For 5.2 only Bosch.

Here is a cross reference for the 2.7. The only one I'd try is the NTK.

    Bosch 13309 OEM
    Standard Motor Products SG168
    CARQUEST 75-1640
    CARQUEST 75-2369
    BWD OS814
    ACDelco 213-1425
    NTK 25547

Doesn't look like there are options for 5.2.

Rock Auto offers Walker upstream for similar price to Bosch. No downstream. NTK and Denso do not seem
    to have cross reference.

    Damn you Bosch, damn you.....

I don't notice any issue(s) with bad sensors, but I sure do notice a lack of performance by neglecting
my much needed clutch.....lol.....going to shift my priorities.

Posted in another thread in search of a clutch......if anyone has a new one. no longer needed?
