I notice the eurospec cars have an ABS cutout. I am interested in retrofitting this feature to a US spec car. Does anyone know what is needed and the process to add this feature? Much appreciated.. Jan

If this question has been answered in another post please direct me if you know where, and sorry for re-posting.

I don't know why anyone would do this but in my 348 racecar once I had a wheel speed sensor wire come loose from track rubber hitting it. That made my ABS light come on indicating a failure. So then I could lock the brakes non-ABS style. So I guess you could rig a switch to kill one sensor and that would do the job but the ABS light I don't know what you could do about that unless you got behind the dash and wired the light on another switch or used a DPDT switch.

Insert a 10 amp fuse into the 355's ABS test socket under the carpet of your front trunk.

    ABS is now disabled.

You could also disconnect the ABS ecu (or pull the relay that controls power to it).

    Get-out... really.. that simple!?

Could I then simply install an ABS cutout switch in its proper spot, wire a 10 amp fuse into the circuit and connect the works to the test socket... nice!

FBB.. I have never been able to get used to having ABS.. all my life, my cars, competition and otherwise, were non ABS and I find that the ABS intervention messes with my head (more than it already is) ;)

I think ND is right. I never really thought about it. Anyway. I must be younger. ABS is great on track for me. I don't flatspot tires and know exactly where threshold braking is. What I don't like is with ABS your spin direction is unpredictable when you put both feet in.
