    Fchatters...

I just replaced the sound system in my 99' 355 F1 GTS. When I was complete, I started my car and the shock absorber malfunction light came on after initialization. In addition, prior to the work that I did, my car was in sport mode -active, sport light on. Then with the work I did I had to shut off the battery. I also experienced a low voltage conditon in my battery due to me working with the radio and having a day of draining. Since I was only working on the front end of the car, I was worried that I may have pulled a plug out by the pass side absorber actuator, therefore, I have checked all of the fuses and connections...they look good.

I am still putting together the door panels today, but I am hoping that when I drive the car the absorbers will get back into sync.

Question: Will leaving it in sport mode, then disconnecting the battery, actuators go to default, then starting the car without moving cause this error light?

My light has come on a couple times after it had been in for work and left on a lift. Mine has always rest itself. In my experience I simply turned the car off and started it again. This has always reset the light for me.

Stereo? What did you do to it? Do you have any pictures of the install? I recently installed a Kenwwod DVD in mine, but it needs more power and I don't want to place an amp in the front boot.

    Regards,
    Glenn

Turning the ignition on and off three times without generating a speed signal (driving the car) will set a fault. It is a soft fault and the light should go out as soon as the system gets a speed signal.

I've had my ABS light do that as well. Once the car was in motion it reset. This was after it was in for a smog.
