1 Just charged the System to a little over 2 LBS 2 I can hear the Compressor engage when the dial is turned to cold 3 Ths STOP button is out 4 The Main AC fuse appears to be good Are there any other FUSES/RELAYS either in the Passenger Footwell or behind the Drivers Seat that I might be missing ??? Any feedback/guidance would help me greatly, thanks
Most likely your heater/ac diverter is broken. This is under the cover in the front trunk. It switches from allowing air through the heater core or AC unit. It may be stuck/broke on the heater core side.
Make sure the condenser "radiator" is clean: no leaves or trash blocking airflow over the fins. Do the refrigerant pipes get cold to the touch when system operating? I
I haD a similar problem. I took a vise grip and pinched off the hot water hose running to the water valve and got instant cold air. One way of checking to see if that valve is bad.
1… Just charged the System to a little over 2 LBS 2… I can hear the Compressor engage when the dial is turned to cold 3… Ths STOP button is out 4… The Main AC fuse appears to be good 5... I have new Radiators, and we cleaned the Condenser 6... The Line is COLD Is this diverter an actual Mechanical part that's easy to replace, any Pics to show were its at would be nice
I m talking about the valve that has hoses from the water pump. It allows hot water to mix to regulate temps. Mine was stuck open allowing hot air to enter so the ac would blow hot air. When I pinched off the hose, got instant cold air. Easy way to check if valve is bad. I just leave the hose blocked off so always have cold air.
I believe it's the item marked by the pencil tip on the diagram. It's in the front trunk beside the big plastic fan housing. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
