Anybody have a person or company that can fix these things? Apparently the Motorola chip that is in these units.are no longer available. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not been available for some time but I just looked up a few at random on the Maranello Classic website and the 355 came up with a price which usually means its available. Should get in touch with them. You will not like the price.

Also Ferrari Philadelphia showed a price.

Canada might be different but I doubt it. On primary safety systems rebuilding of components is not considered an industry standard repair. Only replacement with new components is. As such insurance will not cover doing it. There used to be a company in Texas rebuilding them but I see no sign of him anymore. Maybe product liability put him out of business.

I tried sourcing one a few years ago with no luck. Apparently even if you find a used one, it probably wont last long as the capacitors usually go bad with time. I would think that as these type of systems in all brands of cars age and eventually go bad that there wont be a market for someone to pick up and replace all of the internal parts with new, and more reliable parts. Time will tell.

I believe I have one in storage if anyone is looking for it. I removed mine when I took the airbags out of the car (both driver and passenger side) and was trying to remove dead weight. Was working when it was removed. I believe I listed it for $300 when I last listed it years ago.
