While I know that a/c is not an italian passion... Is the a/c in the 355 worth a damn? My 328 blows cold but only hits my knee. Did ferrari start to improve the a/c and cabin comfort in the 355 or do you have to go to the 360 / 550 to get cozy a/c. I live in AZ btw. Thanks. Robb
You are going to get a variety of answers to this question. Here is mine. My 355 a/c keeps me cool but nothing like a modern sedan. My fan only seems to put out when it's set to either 3 or 4, all the settings work the others are just useless. I'm basing this on the summer we had here in Utah this year with temps up to 105 degrees and an average of 97. Overall I give it a rating of a 7 out of a 10.
I live in Louisiana so I can say I feel you with the heat. My 355 blows cold, the glass is not as shaded as some of my other cars so when the sun is blazing I have to run the A/C pretty high but it does a good job of keeping the car cool.
I had a 308 and 328 previously...the 355 AC is night and day difference. Should keep up fine....but still not in a league with a typical 1990's Honda...
Mine has blown cold for two years trouble free since i bought the car... it just needed the pressure valve replaced but that's just a bolt on... never had any issues... like someone said earlier... 1 and 2 settings on the fan are mice blowing through straws... 3 and 4 blow nice... but since i've had the car,... even in Puerto Rico... i can do 2 in the fan and 70-72 degrees perfectly nice inside.... on the temp settings.... if you switch from 72to 74 or higher... it's just a no transition from a/c to turkish prision sauna... LOL otherwise.... 7 out of 10 for the A/C
I had a 1999 F355 GTS in Dallas. I drove it in traffic when it was over 100 out and it worked just fine. I was amazed.
