My car seems to have little cooling cability. I owned one years ago and it was fine as i remember. Is this a defect of the model?

Have you checked Freon level? I drove through the Central Valley of Calif. yesterday.
It probably dropped the temp 20 degrees. Helpful, but I didn't need a sweater.

The AC ECU can be bad, but if you have a bit of cooling, it probably just needs a recharge.
Agreed, in major heat the system sucks even when functioning perfectly compared to a Toyota Camry.

Mine keeps the car nice and cool no matter how hot. The blower motor was rebuilt a few years back by the po and he said it made a huge difference.

My water valve would stay partially open and hot air would mix with the cold air. I pinched off the water hose and always have cold air. Regulate cold with the fan.

What makes the 355 a/c system only somewhat dequate? It has all the right stuff there from the factory so I would think it should be able to cool a polar bear. Is the evaporator small or something?

I think it's the blower motor, mine has no issue keeping the car nice and cool but has had the motor rebuilt.

I live in Brazil, and in the summer it can get up to 100 fh here, and my AC blows cold no problema at all.

Both AC's on our 355 and 360 cope well with the high summer temps here.

I did have a compressor leak in the 355 about a year ago, that was fixed and now blows ice cold.

I just stuck a thermometer in mine and found 40*, which is just what it is supposed to be. If it is much colder, things start to freeze

I think it may be the blower motor and freon level. I just wanted to be sure if I messed with it that it would work.

I replaced that part about a year ago and had the compressor rebuilt/re-charged. Still not that great however. I assume that the blower door should be in the closed position (all the way up) for the system to work optimally?
