I did a search and couldn't find this information. According to my owner's manual there should be an alarm booklet that came with my car. I don't have it.

Last night when I armed the alarm on my car using the FOB I got 4 beeps instead of the usual 1. I tried it a few times and kept getting 4 beeps. I opened the door and the alarm went off. I closed the door and hit the fob button again, this time I got the normal 1 beep and the car locked. This morning I went out to get in the car. When I hit the remote button to unlock it I get 3 beeps instead of 2.

Does anyone have the book that tells you what the beeps mean? Could someone give me that information?

I just found that this manual is available at Ferraridatabase.com.

I'm assuming you already have your answer. I had a similar thing happen, for two days when I would drive somewhere and arm the alarm I would get four beeps instead of the regular 2. Then I discovered that is was because my passenger door wasn’t completely shut.

I had the same problem a few months ago.

Turned out to be a loose bolt on the rear hood catch! (on the car body... not the hood). Just tightened it up and all was fine. You can see the alarm wire connector... it's trapped by the bolt/washer.

Alarm will give 4 beeps if either front or rear hood or either door is "compromised"... ie. not fully shut or providing a loose electrical connection to the alarm sensor.

Hope you're already sorted and beeping normally again :)

    Cheers,

    Howard

I read the manual, it wasn't exactly clear on what 4 beeps means but it seems like it's something to do with a door not being closed correctly like you guys have said. I started it up and drove it around the block. When I came back all was back to normal.

It was another great weekend with the car. Sunday night I pulled out the center console and it's off to StickyNoMore today. Some of those switches in the F1 surround are really hard to disconnect. It wasn't a fun job in the Houston heat.

The trunk hood not completely latched will also cause it to beep differently.

4 beeps means something is open or a faulty sensor on one of the doors or hood/ trunk. 3 beeps means you just unlocked your car with the fob and the alarm had gone off since last armed.
1 beep means the car is locked and the doors are all shut, as are the trunk and bonnet.

Mine does 4 when armed, but sometimes one. I am going to check the latch under the front hood for starters. Anyone else have this problem and what was your solution? Thanks
