    I am up in Monterey for the Historics week and the alternator died again in my 355. Anly local shops here that can help? Would like to get it going before the Concorso Friday!

    Call Fiorano Motors. His name is John. He helped my friend's 355 just 2 weeks ago when his car broke down and got him going in a few hours.

    Try calling Fiorano Motors 831-655-4943. I stopped by the shop today and I saw about 8 Ferraris in there and 3 on lifts. He can usually get parts overnighted. PM me if you need help, I can pick you up and take you to his shop if you want to investigate first :)

    If you can take it off yourself, you can take it to the Alternator Exchange on Del monte St., down by Monterey Radiator. He's rewound 2 F-car generators for me in the past.

    Must be something with the Monterey salt air and the Ferrari alternators. A couple years ago, a buddy of mine had the alternator in his Testarossa die during the Monterey events, and Fiorano fixed it for him as well.

    The cool thing about Fiorano is that the legendary Bill Rudd now works there part time.

    Mine died on the way there two years ago for a showing: Must have known it was Monterey... rats. drove the freakin' volvo...hid in side booths.

    Just another note of thanks and a plug for John at Fiorano Motors in Monterey. He went out of his way to help me get back on the road and while he could have really stuck it to me, it was proabably even less than I would have normally paid elsewhere. The next day (Saturday 8am) I experienced another little problem when a sensor caused my check engine light to come on. He came in, opened the shop, read the sensor and reset it and didn't even charge me for doing so. While many may have taken advantage of the situation because he knew very well he may never see me again, he didn't and went out of his way to help.
