    I had to have that same part welded. It threw a 1448 as well.

    I fixed the hole with a special pipe wrap material but being a perfectionist I still ordered a new pipe from Daniel at Ricambi.

    Part like that can be soldered, silver soldered, brased, or welded.

    There was an earlier thread about this problem. Sorry, can't remember who was the OP. It seems these two parts have a tendency to rub on the cam covers or cam sensors if not properly oriented.
