    Hi guys,

Before Im sending her in, I would like to check with gurus here first. She is running okay but feels like its only 7.5 cylinders and lots of back fires when I lift or cruising at low revs. there is no lights coming on, no cats for me and the manifolds have just been changed.

so any guidance will be great, thanks a lot

    Cheers
    Pengster

Change plugs. Car is very sensitive to fouling plugs.

I would want to know the cause of the plug fouling, if that is determined to be the source of the issue. Bad plug wires? Or?

I agree Hugh, over 20,000 kms in mine on the same plugs, never fouled them. I don't think fouling plugs is a common issue.

Exhaust backfire=rich mixture (unburned fuel in exhaust)=possible leaking injector, possible bad plug or plug wire
    Intake backfire=lean mixture=clogged injector?
Or could be any number of more serious problems ad infinitum
