I have taken my car into the Ferrari agent finaly after my car was getting harder to start in the mornings. When cold, or the first start of the day the engine would backfire and a loss of power was noticed when driving out of the car park after 5 - 10 mins the engine was running normaly again. No engine lights on. The Shop checked the "Air pump , spark plugs and the eng comp is all ok". Any advise would help.
I thought backfires were pretty common on the 355 and not a lot to worry about?? (am I wrong?). My 355 backfires and burbles a lot when cold... I also get some brilliant backfires when reving hard then changing gear from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd once warmed up. Ade
Dave has a good point. What I did on my 348 to fix an occasional miss was to clean the electrical connections very well, to the coil packs, injectors, etc. It made a difference. I know it doesn't sound like it would be the miss was gone and never returned. Plug wires and plugs can cause this too.
OK thanks ill pass the info on to the shop on monday, they now seem to be pointing in this direction as well, lets see!!!
The F. agent trying to fix my car seems to think the engine has a miss fire and is running rich as well. they are looking in electrical problems. its going to be slow it guess. $$$
