Awesome story....it's cars like yours that I would like to buy I think you maybe a little light on the 90 grand...I would think you could hold out for more given the pedigree....not all buyers are looking for the near lowest price cars. Enjoy it, you have surely earned it !
Well that explains alot. The engine rebuild makes sense now. Anyone make note of the vin on this one?
Everybody wants to buy a 355 that's been rode hard and put away wet!!!! I wonder how his transmission, clutch, half shafts, rear wheel bearings, and CV joints look.
I just can't comprehend why one would spend that amount of money on a car that's only done 26K miles unless something major had gone wrong with it to begin with. You mention a 'complete' engine rebuild..! Why...??? for a car thats only done 26K..! even a complete valve job would be what 20 - 25K tops...if that "The pictures are old. The car has girodiscs on it new with new lines and ceramic pads. This was at my recommendation when he burned up a set of rotors and pads one day at the track". I guess that helps explain it !
Ok just read the rest of the posts on the second page. I think he would have been 'better off' with a slightly different approach to the advertising campaign...!! A bit like listing the last three times you were sacked on your resume and being proud of it !! Somethings are just better left unsaid !
After seeing the video, I don't think that I would even consider buying that car. I bet that the new motor is not going to last very long I he keeps driving it the way he has been. You can hear it bouncing off the rev limiter during the drag race launch. Good luck on the $85k price, He is off about 30k or more. You can buy a nice 360 for less.
Half way through the vid I was thinking "this is really bad", then it got worse. I don't think Enzo ment burnouts smacking off the rev limiter and doughnuts smacking off the rev limiter when he said they were ment to be driven.
Listed VIN: ZFFPR41A6S0100868 Hope that helps educate and potential buyers that are smart enough to do some research.
Many folks drive their cars with intelligence and in a manner befitting a "willing" and able sports car; this is fine,as this was the builder's intent. Others operate their vehicles in a way that is puerile and infantile; such is the case here.
You are correct. Im paraphrasing here but I remember reading somewhere that he hated to redline his cars because he didn't want to hear them in pain.
Though I would agree that there is abuse in the video redlining your car does not, in itself, constitute abuse.
I have a question, my car is also a '95 Blu Scuro Mecalizzato GTB manual with tan - how rare are these colours?
I'd say your post helped. Looks like this car is back on the market - Used 1995 Ferrari 355 Berlinetta for sale in Naples, FL | Used Exotic Car Dealer Florida | Exotic Car Dealership Florida | Black Horse Motors and a quick Google search of the VIN brings up this thread.
To be fair it is probably correctly priced now. They just have to find the specific buyer that values the engine mods. Image Unavailable, Please Login
