    hi there !
i have a couple of questions to the hive mind regarding a European delivery F355 Berlinetta (no. 112353) i am considering.
it's a 6-speed '98 and has the Fiorano package (but it's not one of the Fiorano series cars) as well as all the Challenge options factory-installed (confirmed through my Ferrari dealer), which makes it quite rare in my opinion. anybody know of any other cars that have both the Fiorano package and Challenge options?
the only problem with the car is that it's missing all its books, so there might be an issue with the actual mileage. speedometer says 68k KM, but could be over 100k (according to an entry when running the VIN)... not sure how much of deal breaker that is....
it also features an Alcantara steering wheel with airbag, which i've never seen...
    thxxx !!!

What Challenge options does it have?

Interesting. Post up some photos if you can. 5.2 or 2.7 engine? Fiorano or Challenge brakes? Kevlar bumpers?

The factory has 112336 as the last factory F355 challenge car. So your car was manufactured after that.

I do not show your serial number in my database or in any racing records. It may have had some special options added at original purchase. It could also have had extra pieces added that a previous owner found on the open market.

If you like it - go for it. You would have to contact the factory classiche department to verify more.

I don't think the factory ever installed a roll bar without leather on top of the surfaces - that being said, the leather wrapped rear cages were not the same as the challenge roll bar. Where does the leather stop on the full cage? The challenge cages were also black in color from OMP - not silver.

That is the correct factory challenge cage. That is the correct Fiorano steering wheel. Normally Fiorano optioned cars also had carbon fiber on the central panels and other spots.

thanks for the info, robb ! i'll ask the dealer to send some more pictures of the roll cage, not sure where the leather stops. the panels are not carbon fiber, apparently there was the usual issue with stickiness, so they have been refinished... all in all a strange Fiorano/Challenge hybrid... never seen anything quite like it... the price seems right at 75k, but the missing books could be a reason to worry....

I don't think that's a Challenge roll cage, Vladmir. The forward elbows are a bit different and there's no cross bar at the top of the windshield. There's no view of the top cross members so some more pictures of the cage is a good idea.

Post up some more photos of the top of the cage front and rear.

It looks like someone may have modified a factory cage. Rear and sides looks like a match for factory.

so it turns out the car already had 103k KM in 2013, instead of the advertised 68k today, so i'll pass on it... thanks for support though, it's been very helpful !

There's a crossbar (sun visors are resting on it). Unless you mean it's further back than it should be for a challenge cage.

What difference are you seeing in the forward elbows?

103km plus a 6 years of driving is pretty much 68k miles. Doesn't sound fishy, just sounds like a a slight mix up.

So it has the deck lid supports but no wing???

Not challenge seats, just carbon seats. Didn't know Fiorano had different brakes, but looks standard to me. Only thing I see Challenge is the grill and a questionable "challenge" roll bar.

Jim, my upper forward roll cage cross member prevents the mounting of sun visors.

The forward elbows on my roll cage look like this...

Perhaps there's some type of thin padding applied to the car's roll cage.

I think the car here is the exact same cage just with leather on everything ahead of the main hoop.

That very well could be. The padding makes it difficult to tell. Thicker padding on the bars than on the elbow makes the elbow look less bulky.
