I have a question regarding a strange behaviour of the brake system on my '95 F355 (with Teves MK II ABS system):

When IGN is on and the ABS pump hast just stopped to work it will start running again if i press the brake pedal 3 times in sequence.
If the engine is running (just to have a higher supply voltage for the system) and press the brake pedal 5 times in fast sequence then the ABS and the Brake warninglamp come on (and stay on until the system pressure is high enough again).
Is this a normal behaviour or is my hydraulik pump and/or the high pressure accumulator starting to become bad ?

Sounds like the pump is ok, but the nitrogen charge in the accumulator is low.

That or you have a bad pressure switch

Thank you for the replys. Will get the two things checked at a ATE brake center next week.

I've been having the same symptoms on my 348!

With engine running, when I press the pedal hard 6 times in a row, the brake warning and the ABS warning lights come on... the pump starts and the warning lights go off after a few seconds and then the pump stops.

Did you get an solution to your problem in the end? I am pretty sure we are having the same problem.

    Usually a failed accumulator.

I replaced the accumulator which improved the situation. If you press the pedal hard very often then you will always get the warning lamp since the pressure in the accumulator drops down. Pump then comes on to increase the pressure - normal function of the system.
