Does anyone know where I can get the bulbs and bulb holders for the gauge cluser for my '95 F355? (or perhaps you have extras!) I am missing three - one from the suspension warning location and two for the 1/4 and 5/8 locations. I suspect the previous owner was hiding some problems. I could have swapped some locations to get the error codes but I thought it would be easy to get the bulb holders and do it then. Apparently not. I've been looking through electronics catalogs like Newark but I don't even know what they are called.

Thanks in advance for you help!

I heard you need to buy a new gauge cluster to get the bulb holders! I need one or two holders myself...

Correct you are. The whole gauge cluster has to be purchased. I'm going to try and call a GM dealer. I know at least one of my past cars had similar bulb holders but I never had to purchase replacements - they might only come with the gauge clusters too. Worth a call though.

excellent, if you find bulb holders the 355 community will be forever in your debt! Many of us are missing CEL's and others...

OK. working on it. I called H&R Radio in Warminster Pennsylvania and Mobile Electronics in NY but it looks like I have to retrieve one of the other bulbs to get the part number off of it. Even then I'm pessimistic because they couldn't seem to hand the fact that it's not a GM or Ford (I try to avoid that line of questioning too.) I called Sylvania and asked them about the 74 bulb that is a replacement for the 512 but it was only the bulb and not the holder.

I called FNA and got to the parts department where a gentleman looked through catalogs only to come up empty. He did refer me to another fellow at Continental Auto Sports in Chicago that was very knowledgable but didn't know the specifics on that particular item. I will be sending him a picture of the existing bulb so that he can see what he can find for me.

OK, so I found something that worked. Long story short - with many more calls and a German OSRAM Sylvania web site I came up with 2 possible generic replacements. Both will work but need to be modified in the same way. One has a slightly longer holder and the bulb is partially shrouded. I chose to use the version with the shorter holder and it worked fine with the same bightness as the stock bulbs. The bulb that was more shrouded was possibly the same but I didn't really take notice at the time.

The modification is to shorten the metal ears/wings so that they will fit into the circuit board. I did that with a grinding stone on a dremmel. After I figured out how much I had to take off it only took a minute or so for each bulb. See the picture attached.

Both were manufactured by OSRAM Sylvania and purchased at Allied Electronics (http://www.alliedelec.com/) and both were 50 US cents each. With shipping and 3 of each bulb (total = 6) I spent about $5.50 (USD). Go to the web site and search for the Allied stock number of your choice below.

    Shorter holder (unshrouded bulb):
    Product Desc: LAMP, MINIWATT, 12V, 2W, BU5600
    Manufacturer's P/N: 39320/2352MFX6
    Allied Stk#: 9370002

    Longer holder (partially shrouded bulb)
    Product Desc: LAMP, MINIWATT T-1 1/2, 12V, 2W, .17AMP
    Manufacturer's P/N: 39336
    Allied Stk#: 9370008
