I assume you were happy with these??
I wonder how they compare to oe bushings. Do the challenge cars have different bushings?
I will track this car. Planing to get some better coil overs too. Not sure if there is anything else that can be done to make the 355 handle better.
    Thank U for your reply.

Yep they're fine they're probably all made the same factory just different branding.

As far as challenge cars I can't say if they had different parts you can always check the parts diagrams.

I was wondering about the quality of these myself. As they look just like the offering from superformance yet the price is very reasonable in comparison.

I think we need to go over these again before you put the effort to get these in :).

My car gets thoroughly inspected prior to each track event. Any part in need of replacement gets replaced.

When bushings need replacement, Jim McGee at Pocono Sportscar sources them from his suppliers as he does with many other parts. They aren't always Ferrari parts and he manages to get equivalent or better at reasonable cost. He knows the 348 and F355 Challenge cars well as he was involved with their development. In particular, he knows my car intimately as it was the first North American F355 Challenge which he helped develop just prior to his leaving FNA. My car is in good hands.

Has anyone explained how the standard 355 bushing is different from the 355 challenge bushing?

Ken, I'll be at Watkins Glen this Wednesday and Thursday. It might be the compound or hardness. I'll ask Jim then.

If I had to take a guess, it has Delrin components vs the standard rubber. Just going off what I see in 360/F430 challenge cars.

    Seen on some prototype vehicles

Roller bearing bushings, not like wheel bearings I believer they have a moe betta correct name
Also bronze with graphite pads, looks like spots.
Not sure how our old cars will hold up to these solid solutions.

For track yes hard rubber type delthane or whatever
Street, nice soft rubber, Just remember to install the street bushing correctly. Torque them whele suspension is sitting level not raised on the lift. Remember they do act as a torsion bar and will twist out faster if you dont do it this way

    :)

Ferrari 355 challenge bushings are steel on steel with a Teflon coated insert (part#11 in the diagram)
Probably hard to source all the parts these days as I believe most are nla

If you have them, they should be serviced periodically, disassemble, clean and lubricate.
    Should move freely without looseness

    Jim

Just to add to what Jim said. I would not use them for street use unless you like disassembling your suspension and cleaning and lubricating 16 bushings every year or so depending on miles and what kind of weather(wet) you are driving in.

At least we know they’re not the same. Is it just me or do the Ebay ones looking nothing like the ones advertised on Ebay?
