I have a 97 355 which I just picked up yesterday. I could immediately tell the bypass valve was not opening as the Ferrari sound was non existent. I just followed the instructions from FL355 to hard wire it open. I cranked it up and WOW.

Thing is, I'm now worried that I'm gonna get some sort of Engine Light come on. As my car is a 97 manufacture with the latter design of air intakes, I guess that means I have ODBII. I'm taking it to the dealer to get the valve/solenoid fixed late next week, will there be any harm running it like this for a few days?

    Cheers

    Tony

There are a number of members here that have their bypass valve permanently wired open. Some people have done it themselves, others have had their dealer or specialist do it for them. In the UK at least it seems to be thought of as being an acceptable thing to do to leave it that way permanently.

There will probably be someone on here who thinks otherwise though. :D
