The area right ahead of the shift gate broke this past racing weekend. From where the gate attaches up to the row of buttons, the suspension button actually wants to fall down into what I assume is a black hole where nothing ever returns.

So what are my options? Salvage part or does one of our sponsors carry a carbon fiber type replacement piece?

Is it the plastic piece which the shift gate attaches or the metal cross bracket which the plastic attaches too??

You can buy the plastic piece.....if it's the metal bracket it can be repaired(this will require removal of the center console)

    Rob,
I probably have a good used one here that we can replace the broken one with.

I destickied my bezel a couple of weeks ago. There is enough clearance bhind this bezel so that you can repair it with a fiberglass kit (like for a boat). A little patch, here and there, and a little work with a dremel tool and you will be back in business.

New ones are $197 each---I have an extra I'll let go for $100, already refinished and will never get sticky again...

Or get rid of all that crap and have James make you something like this attached. Just started fabricating yesterday.

Yep, you caught us right in the middle of fabricating and installing our wizbang pro roll cage and cockpit cleanup/diet. This bezel will house the gage pod then directly below it will be the five factory switches one of which is unchanged for the suspension light, the other is the challenge manual fan over ride, another is for the driver cool suit. The other two switches TBD. Below that will be the Kill Switch and to the right of that will be the fire bottle pull.

Rob you will be happy to hear this is a "new" 355C to Texas and eventually he will be coming to play with you boys in NASA.

We designed and built a custom exhaust system that I've been meaning to post for a while which utilizes (4) mufflers but still made more power than straight exhaust....

Sure, but involves removing the seats, console, steering wheel, and shift knob. Then all you have to do is drain the radiator and engine / transmission oil and you've saved just north of 200 lbs... (see pics above) :D

Does a frog bump its arse when it hops? ;-0

Of course. I estimate on this particular car after this phase we will have reduced the weight that much and we have not done any change of the heavy bodywork or stripped the wiring harnes all that much and added an extra oil cooler.
