    Having nothing better to do on an overcast Sunday afternoon I decided to tackle the job of making up a cam pulley locking tool for my 355 out of bits and pieces laying around the shop.

    I have access to the tool sold by Snap-On and others but it will not work on a 355 because the pulleys are too small, and too close together.

    I looked at the plastic and wood wedges others have made up, but all of them did not look like they would fit the 355 cams.

    So here is what I came up with. I have tested it by applying gentle force to the crank nut and this tool defiantly locks the pulleys.

    I don’t know about tightening or removing the cam pulley nut, I’m not that far along.
    This tool is for holding the cams during belt changes.
