    I think a big reason that monstrosity works, may be the insulation factor. After driving my 355, I like to open the engine lid so the engine does not heat soak. So just when I open the lid I feel the air filter boxes and they are super hot! Which means that the engine is breathing air that is not as cool as it can be.

    I believe we can all agree that cold air is better for for the intake/induction. So maybe ceramic coating the air filter boxes will help lessen the heating effect the air boxes apparently have on the intake tract. Cooler air = denser air = more power.
