A little off topic....but I found that there are two thread patterns on the ch towhooks. I bought one that had a different thread from my 348. Must have been for a 355.....but why would they change.....because they're Italian?

I just took my tow hook off (same as 285's pic)....waaay too many questions. I may put it back in for Ferrari events, but it's off for daily driving.

the tow-hook has arrived. I took the round rubber piece out of the front hole and then I found that there is no hole for me to screw the tow-hook in!!!!!.. any idea? it seems like someone may have close that hole with a piece of metal. (previous owner??)

    hhmmmmmm, thanks

LOL!! :D This was covered only last week, when some one else asked this question.
Some one has taken the bumper of for maybe a re-spray and put the spacers on upside down when replacing the bumper. Take the bumper back of and turn the spacer back the right way round so the hole is at the top of the spacer;)

If you buy the factory Challenge hook it will set you back $396.46 list, Part no. 164768 and that was a few years ago(ask me how I know hahaha). You may want to rethink the need for one especially if your not putting it on a CH.

thanks, guys.. well I paid 80++ quids for it plus small shipping so now its with me. :(

well I dont think I can be bother to take bumper out just that I can put tow-hook on. Looks like I will keep it somewhere till next bumper re-spray work need to be done.

    silly me

You may want to fix it before the bumper respray in case you really need a tow!

I realize it's not a 348 so you probably won't really need the tow...but just in case.

    Just joking 348 boys!! :D

They are indeed different. Original poster was looking for a Challenge style hook for his GTB roadcar (at least that's how I read the thread...). Hill Engineering TOW-01 fits that need.
