Im almost shocked that you of all people would consider putting something that isn't OEM on your car....

    Grill quality is actually great....
you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference from OEM without a part #...

Have one on mine. Good quality, no issues with install, took a couple hours, but I was so quite anal about scratches and blue taped the bejeesus out of my rear end. Works for me!

LOL - you are right Pete! I'd rather have an OEM. I really like to keep the car original. I do keep all original parts so it can go back 100% stock if I want. I'm toying around with the challenge grill to get some more heat out and I need another project for the upcoming winter :)

Dave a few years back we did a group buy from a company in the UK that manufactured rear challenge grills and shipped directly to us. The company you mentioned is now the only distributor in the US that sells their grills.

Wasn't able to snap pics tonight, but the photos above are representative of the re-pro grill on mine.

Nope, occasionally if the sun is shining through the hood at the right angle to light something up in the engine compartment, you'll see something through the grill, particularly if you have a shiny exhaust, but for the most part you don't see much.

I bought one and recently installed it...fits perfectly and simple to install. I've seen the OEM grill and the is simply no way to tell the difference (from my perspective anyways). You cannot see much through the grill...like others said, if the sun is shining down through the vents in the deck lid you can sometimes see a bit (from some positions), which is actually kind of cool.

And the UK company that manufactures these will not sell direct to the US anymore...they would only refer me to Exotic Auto Recycling.

It´s all in your head Dave... =) No one will ever say "look - that guy drives around with an aftermarket challenge grill"

besides, you can Always change back to stock when you want.

    You Rock either way =)

The only thing I will mention...I removed the silicone pads from the OEM colored panel and used them on the challenge grill. The UK version didn't come with the pads.

They go on the edges of the grill (close-up photo #2 above).

I've sent them an email and also asked about a Fchat group buy - I'll report back when they respond.

Thanks for the research Dave. I'm in for one if you get a group buy price. Thank you. I've contemplated getting one there too. I got a used steering rack from them and it has worked out quite well. I also met several of them in Carmel at the Concorso Italiano show. Great guys

They offered a slight discount but did not offer any group buy saving.

Is the Heat dissipation that great over the OEM one, say 50% better...

It looks like 20% maybe 30% mesh meaning the holes are 20% of the area, that does not equate to 20% better cooling

Done a lot of mesh covered radiators in my day, mesh size makes a huge difference when you factor in other variables

Exotic gave me a discount on mine last year. PM me if you want to know what price. I don't know if they want it out as general information.
